Terms of Service
Effective date: July 11, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of SoloWhisper. By using SoloWhisper, you agree to these Terms. If you use SoloWhisper on behalf of a company, organization, or another person, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for them.
1. The service
SoloWhisper provides speech-to-text tools for uploading audio or video files, generating transcripts, reviewing timestamped text, and exporting transcript files. The service may include free and paid plans, usage limits, account features, billing features, and administrative tools.
2. Accounts and sign-in
You may need an account to use some features. You are responsible for keeping access to your email, Google account, session, and devices secure. You must provide accurate account information and promptly update it when necessary.
3. Your recordings and permissions
You are responsible for the recordings, files, transcripts, and other content you submit to SoloWhisper. You must have all rights, notices, permissions, and consents required to upload, process, transcribe, store, review, and export that content.
Do not upload recordings that you are not allowed to process, recordings that violate privacy or recording laws, or content that infringes another person's rights. You remain responsible for how you use generated transcripts.
4. Media processing and storage
SoloWhisper is designed to avoid long-term storage of original audio and video files by default. Original media may be handled temporarily to prepare audio, send it for transcription, and return transcript results. After processing, SoloWhisper stores transcript records, timestamps, task status, usage records, and file metadata needed to provide your account history.
SoloWhisper does not provide permanent cloud playback for your original media by default. If you open a transcript later and want to play the source recording, you may need to choose the original local file again from your device.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use SoloWhisper to:
- violate laws, recording consent rules, privacy rights, intellectual property rights, or contracts;
- upload malicious files, abuse the service, bypass usage limits, or interfere with security systems;
- attempt to access another user's account, transcripts, billing data, or administrative tools;
- use transcripts as a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, or safety advice.
6. Transcript accuracy
Automated transcription can be affected by audio quality, background noise, accents, overlapping speech, language choice, file format, and model limitations. SoloWhisper does not guarantee that every transcript will be complete, error-free, or suitable for a specific use. You should review important transcripts before relying on them.
7. Plans, billing, and renewals
Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Subscription prices, billing intervals, renewal dates, and payment methods are shown during checkout or in the Stripe customer portal. Unless you cancel before renewal, subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price and billing interval.
If payment fails, a subscription is canceled, or a plan is no longer active, paid features may be limited, suspended, or removed. Free plans may include usage limits such as file length, daily transcript count, or model availability.
8. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel a paid subscription through the billing portal when available. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund the current billing period.
Unless required by law, subscription payments are generally non-refundable after a billing period begins. We may review refund requests case by case for duplicate charges, billing errors, accidental purchases, or material service failures. To request help, contact support@solowhisper.com with your account email and relevant billing details.
9. Third-party services
SoloWhisper may rely on third-party services for infrastructure, authentication, payments, email delivery, analytics, error monitoring, and AI transcription. These providers may process data as needed to provide their services to SoloWhisper. Your use of third-party login or billing flows may also be subject to the provider's own terms and policies.
10. Availability and changes
We aim to keep SoloWhisper reliable, but the service may be unavailable during maintenance, upgrades, outages, provider issues, or events outside our control. We may change, add, or remove features, limits, prices, plans, and supported file formats as the product evolves.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users, misuse the service, fail to pay applicable fees, or use the service in a way that may cause legal, security, or operational harm. You may stop using SoloWhisper at any time.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
SoloWhisper is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoloWhisper will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from your use of the service.
